A child
Describe a child you know.

Talking about a child I know, I would like to tell you about my niece. Her name is Carol and she is an adorable little girl. Carol is going to turn 8 this year. She has long dark hair, very white and smooth skin with big bright eyes. Everyone loves her because she is so cheerful and constantly has big grin (=smile) on her face. When she smiles, she illuminates the whole room. She’s really a little angel.
I usually see her on the weekend whenever I visit my brother. Occasionally, I take her to the cinema or shopping. She’s the only kid we have in the family so far, so of course she receives a lot of attention from everyone. But we can make sure that she doesn’t become too spoiled.
In terms of personality, Carol is a very quiet and nice kid. She always listens to her parents, and that’s a good thing. Carol is also a very smart girl. She always asks questions about things. She’s curious and wants to know the reasons for
everything. Sometimes we run out of explanations, so we have to ask her to look for answers in encyclopedia! We don’t know why she is always full of energy. Carol just doesn’t like to stay at home and she is enthusiastic about every outside activities. She enjoys riding her bike, walking in the park with the dog and sometimes playing hide-and-seek with other kids, which is her favorite.
She has been studying in primary school, and I think she’s one of the best students in her class. Her teachers adore her because she has a great memory and can pick up knowledge quickly. Actually, I think she’s already very busy as a child. On the weekend, she takes piano lessons, and she also goes to an English training center to have classes with a foreign teacher.
We are pretty sure that she will have a promising future. She’s really cute, sweet and respectful. We all feel blessed to have her around.
